perhaps i was generalizing a tad too much. but calling people "wannabe preps" and "posers" and then slagging them for doing the same thing you're doing? humph...

being punk has nothing to do with how ya dress. Its so stupid "you stick to abercrombie true punks shop at hot topic" QUEER. thats worse then the emo that the abercrombie scene brings. Thats like "Hi i think i'm punk rock because i have tight checker pants and shinny doc martins on!" its just pathetic. Punk rock comes from the music. and the kiddos that dress in the "abercrombie punk" dont even count if they cant name there top 5 favorite underground punk, hardcore, ska bands. So really they mean nothing. it the kids that think shopping at hot topic make them the tough shit punkers because they have bondage pants and moehicans. come see me, i'll show you punk, a night of 40oz's no showering sweat dripping real music. leave yer hot topic home kiddie.

its about your outlook on life. not your cloths piercings, hairdo or tattoos. I feel to be a punk can not be done over night it is an attitude that takes time to build and develop you will find it.... dont look for it took me 15 years to admit it.. never admitied it cos me mates were all metal heads.

I dont care if its a fashion it was in the begining of the 80's then again mid 90's so here we go again. every 7 years comes back kicks everyone on the ASS.

Just rememeber its not the music or the clothes or the other crap its the life.....

so i agree with alot that you are saying, but, punk rock def. came from the music. With out the the soul of punk rock music punk would not be around at all. Punkers branch off of the the music. Same with the emo kids to the Scenesters.

But to be punk you def. have to live the life not only dress the part. That was well put. amen.

well, the music? not necessarily. i could easily say louie armstrong was the most punk rock guy of the 20th century, and he definately didn't play the music.

Punk is a trend for some people (not for me) for some it"s a attitude. Some people think that punk means to be an a$$ to people which thats not what it is.Punk is basically a name used to mark an outcast in life of your own free will (mostly for anarcho punks).and if u run in to someone that thinks anarchy is world chaos there wrong.Anarchy means world order without a government.

I admit it also took me years before i realized that i didnt wanna be like every1 else and i didnt like other peoples views. The music is kinda wut pushed me more and more into the different thoughts of others.

i agree with RaNcId RoB, because punk is a way of life a spirt and i don't think that it is a trend but it's being treated as one so people can think they look "cool" but thy're being f**** about it because they think it's cool and think it makes them cool but it dosen't it makes them f****.
