| Well if had the money to buy a Gibson Les Paul I probably wouldn't. I have an Epiphone SG special and its good enough for me. What I really need is a new amp. |

Oi, maybe you guys can help. I play bass in my band and I love that instrument (it's what I'm best at) but I play guitar as well and when I write music I use my Fender Tele (which I love very much).
But I have always wanted a Gibson LP and I was hoping one of you two (or anyone else who reads this) can tell me exactly what I would be missing, in sound, feel and playability if I was to buy an Epiphone LP to save some money.
Shinobi, you seem more than content with yours, but I only know basses but I want a new guitar so..........
OK....... go. |

No not at all. I think it is a great guitar and my next guitar will probably be an Epi aswell.
Although I like the look of this Switch guitar too

It's made from some "vibracell" shit but it's the coolest looking guitar I've ever seen.
Yeah but I'd definately recommend an Epiphone guitar to anyone interested in buying a guitar. |

| Ye i would do the same advice : i got an Epiphone Lespaul it really rocks the underwear! i also been lend (lent???) an Epiphone junior, it's a smaller and overall lighter les paul. it has the sound and you can jump really high and be a real guitar-hero-poser! |

| There is a big difference... Start with wood... a guitar is an instrament made of wood... go play a Martin D-28 and a $200 accoustic... Having said that... you can make an epi sound better by replacing the pickps with say Seymore Duncan Seth Lover or I think the JB or 59 somethings are popular... My first LP was a 73 I bought in about 77 and like a dumb girl sold it... It tok me untill 88 to get another... I put Seth Lovers in it.. |

| I've tried out Epiphone Les Pauls at guitar center and besides the weight, it's a nice versatile guitar and it's uch easier to play than my Ibanez RX. Of course, it's also more expensive but it feels like it would be worth paying for. |

| I have 2 Gibson Les Pauls. My favorite guitar hands down! They're heavy guitars! Not to mention it doubles as a weapon if you ever need to defend yourself! Who needs guns? LOL |
