| Right I need to get a new amp. I've been using a cheapo 10W Drive amp since I started playing guitar. I've been thinking about getting a 30W Marshall (MG30 i think it's called). What other amps are worth getting? |

Get a good name small combo. The Marshall you mentioned is fine and the quality of sound will make you happy. If you cant buy a half stack and head yet then there is no sense in spending a ton on a combo amp just for practise. The Marshall you mentioned is fine. It is good quality, but you should go drive the local guitar shop nuts with questions and play EVERYTHING they have. Then go home and look for a good price on line for the amp you like and then go back and ask the guitar shop to beat that price.
There you go.

| No point in me getting a half-stack .. Im not even in a band. I think I'll go for the Marshall. I just need a day off work to go shopping. ( guitar shopping is definately the most fun kind of shopping) :) |

Drive those wankers nuts!!! It is so much fun to go into the shops and grab the most expensive LP and plug into a good combo or even a halfie and just go off for like 15-20 minutes.
Have fun. |
