| I've been doing alot of research and I really like the punk outlook, but I'm still slightly confused. I've read somethings that mention punk ethics yet they never give you a soilid description. I was wondering if any of you could help clear that up? |

It totally depends on the 'kind" of Punk you are. Punks fight about this amongst themselves all the time. If you want to learn about this sort of thing you'll have to go to different websites for bands and zines. There is no 'right' answer.
Look up things like:
The Mentors, Flipper and GG Allin.
Straight Edge, Minor Threat and Earth Crisis
The Black Bloc and Profane Existence
Boston Beatdown, Agnostic Front and Cro Mags,
Maximum Rock n Roll.
Oi (working class pride, mostly)
History of Punk/77
Drunk Punks (Punx)
And you may as well look up stuff about trendy Punk too.
Everything you read will contradict the other. |
