I think Green Day is cool. Some of thier songs are good too.

Green Day were a pretty awesome band....unfortuantely i have the same opinion as everyone else on this board...Anything like 1000 hours, 39/Smooth, Dookie, Kerplunk etc was awesome....the only half-decent song on Idiot is St Jimmy...that song is pretty kik ass..But other than that i cant really judge the lovers or the haters or the band themselves--they're just doing what they do best.

BTW the makeup doesnt liike all that bad, but its just not...right
...theyre gettin pretty up there though, so maybe it's to hide age blemishes? Im pretty sure theyre all around 34...not that old, but...whatever.

Thetr first albums were cool, they are the professionals, but now they are pop, nothing special.

If you actually listen to American Idiot you will find its not that great a leap from their older albums. Warning was more a stray from their roots. Insomniac is one of the finest albums ever

1,039 smoothed out slappy hours was great

kerplunk was even better cause the lyrics were just better and tre kicks the ass of the other guy
dookie - awesome
insomniac - almost as good as kerplunk.
nimrod - it was ok
warning - couple good songs, mostly shit.
there was a b-side album that sucked intensely
and american idiot is just complete shit

green day went downhill after insomniac. they peaked there.
but man
they KILL it live.

Old school Green Day was a staple in my youth. Sure they're different now, but they're still Green Day to me, and I think they're still good, makeup and all :D
