green day have got a bit too much how they didn't want to be... they've matured... but a lot of bands do and it's annoying... ack. but oh well their old stuff was good and they deserve a little respect.

I like Green Day, but they have changed a lot since they first started..They were an awesome punk band way back when, but they really let the mainstream wave take them. I still like their old shit, but American Idiot is way too overcommercialized.

But at least their songs arent as hollow and whiny as Simple Plan's.

You always hear them saying how they hate mainstream bands, and how they've grown to hate their own band for what they've become...

Yeah, i know, not the most original thing to say, but that's what i think.
