Im pretty sure no one's gonna take this seriously....but really, is there even a specific definition of being a punk or a poser?

Actually..........based on the opinions of most of the people on this site its "not punk to call yourself punk" anyways :P

yeah, i guess punk is pretty much what you consider it. To some people ashley ******* simpson could be punk, bjust because she has a "studded belt", while others consider punk to be all "hardcore" and shit like that with the trihawks and dyed hair and tattered clothes. Its just a state of mind pretty much, and its the same with rap (though I have to admit punk owns rap)

Boring cliché. You're exactly the same as what you hate. Think again.

IN THE LONG RUN YOU MAKE ME THINK YOU THINK HARDCORE IS ALL ABOUT THE STYLE WHEN IT ISN'T. YOU REMIND ME IN WAYS OF PEOPLE
WHO BARELY JOIN THE SCENE AND THINK IT'S ALL ABOUT THE STYLE. GET THE FACTS DOWN FIRST. THE SCENE IS BUILT ON MORE THAN CLOTHES
IT'S A LIFESTYLE THAT INVOLVES LISTENING TO THE ACTUAL MUSIC

THEM THEY ARE A SIMPLE PLAN/GOOD CHARLOTTE/ASHLEY SIMPSON LOVING PIECE OF SH%^S GET YOUR FACTS DOWN FIRST BEFORE YOU THINK YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT!

Wow; i thought i went through this already. In fact, a lot of people say the same thing you just said. And was the CAPS REALLY NECESSARY?

When I was 14 years old (in 1982!) a new wave college girl called me a poser because I was wearing camouflage Chuck Taylor sneakers and a Black Flag shirt. I'm 37 now and I still play in a punk band (my 6th one). I wonder if that chick is still as punk as she thought she was back then?

Maybe she is, or maybe she's a soccer mom...
