I know that it IS cool right now to hate the States, but when exactly did it start? I'm gonna take a guess and say that it didnt start with American Idiot, but tell me what you know :) I'm NOT american by the way, and i hate watching the news, so I'm not really updated on this stuff that often.. so dont hate me please :P

well if you think about it America has been hated since it started and then when the punk scene first came out with bands like the Clash, Sex Pistols
The clash song "I'm so bored with the U.S.A" is a big example. |
