I think a lot of people dont know what the **** punk is these days, and have twisted it into a fashion statement. I think i was born a few decades late. I guess i dont really know many punks my age. I live a sheltered life. There's good punk bands being created still...but there's a hell of a lot more poppy crap ones.

If that wasn't a vague bull shitted answer then I dont know what is.

I couldn't name many (any?) new punk bands because I haven't really heard much new music. Rancid is about the newest shit I've heard and they've been around for a long time now.
Most of the music I listen to is from the early to mid eighties 'cause that's when I went to shows.

Quit being such an un-radical-rebel-moderate, just watch the poser bible (SLC punk) thatll tell you what punk is DUH!! Oh yeah, you also gotta listen to hardcore-pop-punk like rancid, nofx, bad religion and alkaline trio so that you can make fun of pop punk. Dont listen to any real punk thatll just give you nightmares, i know from experience, instead just listen to the clash's unpunk albums, the ramones and sex pistols (minor threat, dead kennedys and casualties if you want brownie points). If you ever get asked about real punk just call it the "old stuff" or "hard stuff." Finally, dont wear punk clothes, be attracked to chicks w/ mohawks or trihawks or hang around with real punks and tell anyone who does how unpunk they are or that they try to hard.

this has nothing to do with anything here i guess.....but i think labels should just die...wouldnt punk loose some meaning once you call yourself one? because wouldnt that mean your conforming to just another bunch of people....i jus think everybody should listen, dress, and act how they want, what theyre comfortable with, and dont lable themselves or anybody else.....

anyway just random shit....

..i was making fun of them... i hate every single band i put on there...they all suck.. alkaline trio is awesome by the way
