whats your feeling on a tele with an alder 2 piece body..maple C shape 25"scale (not 25 1/2 fender-or- 24 3/4 gibson..should be best of both) neck/maple fretboard..medium jumbo frets..mini shaller tuners..string thru body 6 saddle bridge..reversed control plate with a volume+push/pull tone with a 3way switch -or-reversed plate with regular volume & tone with either a new fender 4way switch or a 5 way switch for the firebird mini humbucker at the neck & i haven't decided on the bridge pup....any suggestions/comments??-thanx...

| owwdatune, i play a variety of guitars mostly strats as my name suggests. as for your tele questions, alder is fine but if you,re looking for better sustain & attack maybe check into an ash or swamp ash body. about the 25" scale neck be careful if using a genuine fender body as you may have intonation problems. shallers work fine. the six saddle bridge strung thru body will provide you w/ singing sustained tone, and may also help w/ your intonation if you decide to go w/ a 25" scale. med jumbo are personal favs of mine. i'd have to lean towards a standard vol. & tone w/ the mini bucker & a 4way selector. perhaps a texas special in the bridge or a seymor duncan hot rails. let me kow what type of sound you're looking for and can get a better idea of what pickup will suit your needs. good luck. straattack |

yo stratattack..
thanx for the response...
--i prefer a good 2-pc alder body over any ash body..i don't care for the sound as much & ash is too lite..feels like a toystore guitar-LOL-
-as for the bridge pup, i don't want a 'bucker there & i don't want another hotrail-had them B4-..i play mostly a jazzy blues soul type sound with a bit of 50/60's type rock thrown in for fun...
-i've had a 25" scale neck B4 & never had a bit of trouble with intonation or tuning ever-i like the gibson 24 3/4 scale best for bending etc..but the fender 25 1/2 scale gives a good sharp attack..i've found the 25" scale to be pretty good for both as long as i stay with 9 or 10 strings.
thanx..

I'm sure STRATATTACK won;t mind and will most likely appreciate the help from a mature, educated player like yourself.....Let me know I would LOVE to have ya on board....
