--okay stRATattack..off your sleepy ass..wake up..i'm kicking something around for this project tele..so i'm looking for your opinion..here it is>>>
-if you're familiar with the GODIN Radiator..(its a 2 single coil pup like the tele)..it has three knobs/dials...{1 master tone & 1 volume for each pup}..the variety of sounds i get with this setup is amazing..what i'm considering for my project tele is to have a machine shop do me up a new tele control plate with 3 holes for the dials instead of the regular 2 hole/ 1 slot for the 3way switch...my question is.. is there any advantage to the traditional tele control setup versus the 2 volume/1 master tone setup ??--thanks for your input .

| owdatune, like the idea of the seperate volumes for each pickup. this way you can use the middle pos. of the pickup selector and blend the volume of each pup to sounds you'd normally could'nt get out of a standard wired tele. kinda like you could with a les paul. if you've got more tha one tele, like our buddy voodoo, i go for it just to expand your tonal horizons. good luck |
