question: does anyone know anything about pickups? is there much difference between emg active pickups and standard humbuckers?
I just got a new guitar ...an Epiphone G-400 :) |

dude, he's 13.... of course the guitar's built into the amp and it flys as well and takes him on adventures around the world where he fights crime with his half-blind, albino hermitcrab named Hericles.
Always go with the active pickups. Sound is more crisp when the batteries are juiced. Just my opinion. |

Go for the emg's. For one theyre louder and have quite a well defined sound unlike most regular humbuckers.
what humbucker have you got in mind?
