pickups

question: does anyone know anything about pickups? is there much difference between emg active pickups and standard humbuckers?

I just got a new guitar ...an Epiphone G-400 :)

i dont know, get an alesis amp though, 80- sumhinover pickups built in the amp, nice

dude, he's 13.... of course the guitar's built into the amp and it flys as well and takes him on adventures around the world where he fights crime with his half-blind, albino hermitcrab named Hericles.

Always go with the active pickups. Sound is more crisp when the batteries are juiced. Just my opinion.

two things wrong:

a) didnt meen pickups, meant footpedals, im just an idiot

Go for the emg's. For one theyre louder and have quite a well defined sound unlike most regular humbuckers.
what humbucker have you got in mind?
