I wouldn't really know where to start. My schedule fucks plans for a band off the track, and I've only started picking up the electric guitar (which really belongs to my friend, and I only get to play it on the occassions in which I visit his house).

If I could get my hands on a guitar and start teaching myself how to play it, however, then I'd have it made. Not OFFICIALLY, but I have some recordable cassettes with which to make little solo demo tapes for fun.
