I won't spout platitudes but I pretty much agree with what's been said. Bondage belts are now all the rage with trendy kids and the (cringe) "faux-hawk" that makes me want to jump fist-first down the throat of whoever is wearing it. And the pink spaghetti-strap shirts that say "punk princess". Grrrrr. I gave up on the "I'm punker than you because I have more spikes on my leather jacket" crap years ago. I realized I was wearing a uniform when I put it on, so I gave it up. I refuse to play that game and there are more constructive things I can do with my time than worrying about how many liberty spikes I have or how well painted the band logos are on my leather.
I actually flatten out real mohawks on purpose somtimes at punk shows. All that time and money they spend needlessly on their hair. They could have been reading instead. |
