Ok, so I'm pretty new to punk rock and the lifestyle. Before people start flaming me, I am not a scene kid. I know what it means to be punk, well, I'm kind of anarchist really. Though, I still haven't really listened to that many punk bands. So far, I've been listening to Clash, Bad Religion, Sex Pistols, Rise Against, Rancid, older AFI, Circle Jerks, Misfits, and Social Distortion. If anyone call tell me which of these bands are actually punk rock, I'd be grateful. The only bands in that list that I HATE are Sex Pistols and AFI, because I listened to their new stuff, AFI. Also, if anyone could recommend me a few punk rock bands from maybe the 80's to 90's, that'd be cool. I know I sound pretty hypocritical, being that punk is about living a free life, but I really just want to listen to real punk music. Sorry if this offends anyone.

the casualties! dead kennedys, dropkick murphys, necromantix.. abit of irish punk - flogging molly. towers of london rock, but there kinda a sex pistols wana be band.. transplants arent punk, but they do rock. might wana also try operation ivy.. if u prefer the older stuff.. also try the smiths. oh yeah.. lily allen - smile thats a proper punk song..
