A good punk sound is an electric guitar and an amp with distortion. Seriously.

Seriously though, what's a punk guitar sound? Punks have used anything from Flying Vs to Telecasters through all different kinds of amps. And "what strings give the best punk sound?" What kind of question is that? lol
Anyway, what do you think of your Gibson SG. I love SGs but I only have an Epi.

oh i get what your saying. i thought you were just like being a smart ass. thats cool though at least you have a valid justification

about my gibson sg. i love it simply put. my first gutiar was a 100 dollar peice of shit and my 2nd is my sg so i pretty much went from worst to one of the best. the fret board is freaking awsome it feels like the wood cushions my fingers. i just got super lucky there was a closed door sale and all major brands (including gibson fender marshall takamine martin adn jsut about anythign else you can think of)w as half off so my 1250$ sg special was rouchly 625$. what epi sg do you have, i originally asking for an epiphone sg i wanted the g-400 but my parents home with a gibson....and needless to say i about shit myself

Yeah I have a G-400. It's a good guitar.. I started off with an Epiphone SG special which was shit bottom of the range Epiphone then got the G-400. My next guitar will probably be a Gibson SG.

75W Laney. It's more than I need seeing as I'm not in a band.

I guess your original question isn't going to get answered :)

yeah it probabaly wont get answered. im not in a band and i almost have enough money to get the marshall atv150 halfstack which im gladly going to purchase because im trying to start an oi band in my area. too bad the only people available for an oi band still listen to emo/screamo/alternative/pop-punk. dont get me wrong here if they want to do that thats there deal. i just think if your going to be in an oi band you need to be way more devoted to the music....hmmmm maybe horror punk would be fun, too bad theres no more room for a horror punk band in mr area...

Punk Sound? Whats that supposed to mean?

Welp, all i can say is i have an old scratched up Squier, and all i did was get new strings and a 10 Watt Kustom Amp and a Boss Metal ZOne Pedal. It doesnt matter what guitar (or strings) you have, as long as you can tune your guitar and you know how to use effects
