hiya wen i get back to skewl im planning on starting a band with two of ma m8z..
dus n e one no n e punk rock/rockish typa songs to play to get us started..
n please dont just say 'start with sumthin u all no' it dusnt help tha slightest bit..

you do realize that since this is a fukng forum, you dont have to spell like some fagot texting his friends. Seriously. A keyboard is not that fukng difficult of a tool. what saves you a tenth of a second to type takes me 5 seconds longer to fukng read. Some people dont have the time for that shiit.

Okay I'm gonna actually give you some advice. I've been in your situation.

First, you have to know the basic anatomy, if you will, of your instrument. I'll just assume you do.

If you can play a simple 3-chord punk rock song well (any band), I'm not kidding when I say you can play half the songs you come across with practice.

I don't know what kind of rock/punk you like, so I'll just give you the first few songs I learned with my ex-band.

I don't know if you're into them - I'm not crazy about them - but a good band to learn songs from at the very beginning is Nirvana. My 2 bandmates loved them, and I liked a couple songs. They have simple beats and guitar riffs that are easy for beginners to pick up. Not punk, I know, but at least rock/grunge. Even if you hate it, it'll teach you how to form songs properly with others.

Try bands like The Police, again, not punk, but rock - a lot of fun to play and some nice bass lines. Walking on the Moon is a slowish song that'll be easy to learn for all three of you. Message in a Bottle is good too. Download a few songs and see if it appeals to you.

The Clash - some songs can be played by beginners with practice e.g. London Calling. The list goes on... again, download if you haven't already.

I don't know how advanced you are, so I can't give you a super-specific list. So, I'm purposefully not putting anything that could possibly be too challenging. If you could give me an idea of the individual skills of your bandmates, I could give more ideas.

i appreciate all that, nirvana is actually one of ma favourite bands, and utha bands members like em too..
uhm the lead guitarist n drummer r good can basically play n e thing we wanna learn..
the bassist is only just starting tho, he can play a bit but hes learning still..

but its kool thanx thats really helped me out! i appreciate it 100%.. and id hug u if i new who u were n where u lived haha but i dont..

Damn, the whole concept is originality! Write some songs and play them.
Seriously, learn 3 chords, write some lyrics that pertain to your life and play them.

Perhaps you should consider Rap as an option, you can rip off other peoples songs and all ya gotta do is talk bullshit. By your post I take you're probably good at that.
